Archaeological Monitoring of Geo-Technical Investigations at the Portage East Site
Monitoring of geo-technical investigations consisted of visual inspection of auger drillings. A total of 5 artifacts from the recent Industrial Period (post-1870) were recovered, with most relating to the last 50 years. Appendices include an artifact catalogue.

Archaeological Monitoring of Geo-Technical Investigations for the Proposed Canadian Museum for Human Rights at The Forks
Monitoring of drilling small 12.5 cm diameter auger holes yielded a total of 273 artifacts. Cultural horizons were encountered, however none of the recoveries are culturally diagnostic, as they consist of floral and faunal remains. Stratigraphic data is presented in detail.

Archaeological Monitoring of Geo-Technical Investigations for the Proposed Manitoba Theatre for Young People at The Forks
During monitoring of soil-test drilling numerous soil horizons were observed which pre-date the railroad period. No artifacts were recovered, and minimal evidence of cultural occupation was observed.

Monitoring of 10 soil test drill holes consisted of visual inspection of disturbed and undisturbed soil columns. No evidence of Precontact occupation was observed, and Postcontact evidence was limited to fragmented structural artifacts. Stratigraphy is discussed.
